Sacramento's Community Quilt Exhibit opens Sept. 5 at 101 I Street.
The quilt—made for the nation's centennial in 1876 and rediscovered at First United Methodist Church—has over 500 names on its squares. The exhibit includes enlarged images and QR codes linking to each block for genealogy research.
