What we collect.
The short version: we collect almost nothing, we don’t track you, and we’ll never sell your info. Here’s exactly what happens to your data on Sac Goes.

What we collect
Your email
Only when you subscribe to the newsletter or submit an event. We store it in our database (Supabase) and send mail through Resend.
A hashed IP
When you submit an event, we run your IP through SHA-256 and keep only the first 16 characters to catch spam and abuse. We never see or store your actual IP.
Rate-limit counters
Anonymous, temporary tallies (in Upstash Redis) that stop bots from flooding the site. Not tied to you, and they expire on their own.
Anonymous page views
We record anonymized server-side page views to understand what's working on the site. No cookies, no tracking scripts, no IP storage — just a daily-rotating hash that counts unique visitors without identifying anyone.
How we use it
- Send you the newsletter you asked for.
- Follow up on events you submit.
- Keep the site fast, clean, and bot-free.
That’s the whole list. No profiling, no resale, no funny business.

We keep the toolkit small and name names. Each only handles the slice it needs, none of them get your data for their own marketing.

You’re in control
- Unsubscribe anytime, every newsletter has a one-click link. Hit it and we stop immediately and mark your row as unsubscribed.
- Want out completely? Email us and we'll delete your info from our database.
- California residents: you have the right to know what we hold, get a copy, and request deletion. Same email, same fast answer.
Cookies
Only the essential stuff that makes the site work. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Kids
Sac Goes is built for grown-ups planning their weekends. We don't knowingly collect info from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we update this, we'll change the date up top. Big changes get called out in the newsletter.
