Pollinators in Parks

Celebrate California Biodiversity Week at the Leland Stanford Mansion. Learn about the amazing variety of bees, butterflies and other California pollinators through fun activities on the mansion grounds between 12:00pm – 2:00pm.

Kids (Ages 7-12) can pick up a Capitol Park Junior Ranger Booklet to earn their Junior Ranger badge. Use your phone to take photos and participate in the iNaturalist Find 30 Species Challenge.

California Biodiversity Day, established in 2018, is a celebration that inspires discovery and connection to the nature of California while encouraging actions to steward and protect it. California is a global “biodiversity hotspot” with many plants and animals found only in California.
