Rita Hosking has the spirit—and she knows how to reach ours through her grace, heart, chops, and spunk. A heavy-hitter in the Northern California songwriting scene, Rita has created award-winning music spanning nine albums and more than 20 years of touring.

Her homespun style of country-folk has been celebrated for its storytelling and strong sense of place. Hailing from Hatchet Mountain, a summit between Montgomery Creek and Burney, California, Rita grew up with a deep regard for folk music and the power of the voice.

A descendant of miners who sang in the mines of Cornwall and Grass Valley, her music carries that tradition forward with songs rooted in people, place, and experience.

Joining Rita is longtime accompanist Sean Feder on dobro and banjo. With three decades of eclectic musical experience, Sean brings a rhythmic and melodic depth to their performances.

Together, Rita and Sean deliver what Acoustic Magazine calls “timeless, unhurried elegance.”
