Playwrights’ Revolution 2026

As a part of our mission to contribute to the development of new plays and playwrights, Capital Stage presents its 13th Annual New Play Festival PLAYWRIGHTS’ REVOLUTION. Up to 350 new play submissions were accepted in January 2026.

By July Capital Stage chose the 4 finalists for this year’s festival. One-night-only staged readings will be presented August 12-15, 2026.

Q&A sessions between the audience and artists immediately to follow each staged reading.

Tickets are available now! Regular tickets are $20 each, Subscriber tickets are $15 each.
