Sacramento's Community Quilt Exhibit opens Sept. 8 at 101 I Street.
The quilt, discovered at First United Methodist Church, features over 500 names written on squares and was made for the nation's centennial in 1876. The exhibit includes enlarged images, QR codes linked to each block, and encourages visitors to research the names and their connections to 1876 Sacramento.
