Alice By Heart

Set against the backdrop of World War II, Alice by Heart follows a young girl who escapes into the imaginative world of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to find hope, friendship, and courage in the face of uncertainty.

Featuring a haunting contemporary score by Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening) with lyrics by Steven Sater, Alice by Heart was written by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson and blends Lewis Carroll’s beloved tale with a deeply moving story about resilience, love, and the healing power of imagination. Performed by Valkyrie’s advanced youth performers, this unforgettable production combines powerful music, unforgettable characters, and breathtaking theatrical storytelling in an intimate setting.
