Roma Devanbu's first photography exhibition opens Aug. 2 at 625 S St.

The show, called Surface Tension, features photographs of weathered surfaces and materials—rust, erosion, texture—documented with precise timestamps. Devanbu, a painter for decades, turned her studio eye outward to capture fleeting moments of physical transformation.
