Sacramento's last handmade mochi kitchen and a Japantown landmark since 1963. The white mochi is the benchmark, smooth and not too sweet, and people order it in bulk for weddings. The summer shave ice window is the other draw, watermelon with condensed milk, and even the extra small is enough to share. The handwritten menu and the scratched counter glass tell you how long it has been here. Come early before the fresh items go.
