Midtown's rare book haunt since 1981, with author readings and a crate of obscure vinyl. People describe walking in as going back in time, right down to the smell of old paper and the handwritten notes still in use. The older paperback selection beats what traveling book people find almost anywhere else. There is a dollar section and a corner where kids can sit and play while you dig.
