A little blue house in Del Paso Heights where Tori and her daughter cook gumbo, fried chicken and hot water cornbread. The cornbread is the dish people cannot stop talking about, and Ms. Tori greeting the room is half the reason they return. Southern transplants who came in skeptical of California soul food leave converted. There is room for a big table, so bring the family. Fair warning, the kitchen cooks things properly spicy.
