National POW/MIA Recognition Day - Elk Grove Veterans

Elk Grove to Observe National POW/MIA Recognition Day

Elk Grove veterans organizations will join together on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. to observe National POW/MIA Recognition Day, honoring American service members who were prisoners of war or remain missing in action, along with their families.

The ceremony will be hosted by American Legion Post 233, American Legion (Laguna-Elk Grove) Post 55, VFW Post 2073, and Marine Corps League Detachment #11238, and proudly co-sponsored by the City of Elk Grove and Cosumnes Community Services District.

The event will be held at the Elk Grove Veterans Memorial Hall (District 56), 8230 Civic Center Drive, Elk Grove. The public is invited to attend this solemn remembrance.

Food and snacks will be available following the ceremony. The event will take place rain or shine.
